Sara De Bondt runs a London-based, graphic design studio and co-directs non-profit press Occasional Papers. The studio’s approach is research and idea driven, with strong emphasis on visual clarity and typographic detailing. It actively seeks out collaboration, both with its clients and colleagues, which has led to a wide range of projects for international institutions such as Guggenheim, WIELS, Tate, ICA, V&A, Artissima, Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Hayward Publishing, Camden Arts Centre, and many more.

Sara has been a tutor at Central Saint Martins (London), Royal College of Art (London) and KASK (Ghent). She has given talks and workshops at conferences such as Spark (Auckland), Otis (Los Angeles), Typo London (London), Designival (Liverpool) and Kolla (Stockholm). In 2013 she was a member of the Most Beautiful Swiss Books jury. Since co-founding Occasional Papers together with Antony Hudek, she has co-edited three books: The Master Builder: Talking with Ken Briggs, The Form of the Book Book (with Fraser Muggeridge) and Graphic Design: History in the Writing (1983–2011) (with Catherine de Smet).
